Symptoms

When continueous and batch galvanized, white soluble zinc salts can be visible. When thin layers are applied, this can combine with peeling and blistering.

Cause

  • Too small layer thickness
  • Wrong paint types
  • Poros paint layers

Solution

Paint layers that are not sound shall be removed, brush substrate and/or sand.
Treat with a system that is suitable for application on galvanized surfaces e.g. prime with [Redox EP Metal Primer] and apply two coats of [Redox PUR Finish Gloss].
