Symptoms

At inorganic substrates a white salt eruption appears.

Cause

  • Paint system applied to humid substrate
  • Insufficient ventilation of substrate
  • Substrate remains humid because of condense and/or leaking of moisture

Solution

Apply a suitable paint after construction technical inspection and possible repair of damages. Fight moisture transport. Salt migration can never be removed with water. It is often possible to dry clean with a brush. Prevent the penetration of moisture. After proper drying, brush off the salt deposit. Impregnate with Alpha Dispersion primer. Finish with two coats of [Alphatex IQ] or [Alpha Topcoat or equivalent].
