Symptoms

Insufficient camouflaging of the substrate color (transparent effect).

Cause

  • Contrast between primer and finishing coat is too big
  • Too small layer thickness, e.g. on sharp edges and profiles
  • Characteristic of the color (e.g. red and yellow)

Solution

Clean and sand substrate. Round off sharp edges. Apply the correct undercoat color when using poor hiding colors. Completely refinish with a hiding coat.
