Sikkens: the right color

Housing on the King and Queens Wharf in London Docklands has had more than a thousand doors and windows redecorated using Akzo Nobel Woodcare Products.

The luxury complex required both internal and external refurbishment and Sikkens Onol primer/undercoat and Sikkens Rubbol satin finish were chosen as the most fitting products for the project, bearing in mind its exposed riverside location.

The complex was built five years ago and comprises almost 300 apartments overlooking the water.

Considering this location they were in remarkably good shape but showing signs of deterioration and due for attention under the planned maintenance regime.

Sikkens Onol is a combined premium quality primer/undercoat for interior and exterior use on timber. It has excellent absorption and adhesion properties and is resistant to washing and scrubbing. Sikkens Rubbol satin finish was applied over Onol to ensure a clean, satin finish.
