Sikkens: the right color

The country's first new university campus since the seventies has been built on exposed land on the east coast, with external timberwork calling for the application of high performance timber protection products from the Sikkens range. The University of Lincolnshire is situated on reclaimed drained land and former railyards.

Sikkens Cetol HLS in pine was applied to the timber louvres on the four storey resources centre and also to the lower level cladding and soffits on the walkways.

Favoured by the University Estates Department for its attractive translucency, appearance and longevity, the Cetol specification should offer a maintenance period of at least five years despite the potentially harsh environment to which the buildings are exposed.
